Lacking formal photography, we had the rare opportunity to define Goodwin’s visual narrative from the ground up. Drawing from the timeless elegance of artists like June Carter, Emmylou Harris, and Sierra Ferrell, and the collaborative dynamics seen in band portraits of Fleetwood Mac and The Cranberries, we developed a creative direction rooted in old-school stage aesthetics. This foundation guided us in creating a visual language that feels at once nostalgic and contemporary—glam, yet deeply rooted.
Over a 90-day period, we implemented a phased approach. First, we designed light and dark studio sessions, highlighting contrasts to reflect both the emotional depth and dynamism of her music. Next, we transitioned to band photography, emphasizing the collaborative energy of her performances. Finally, we documented live shows, capturing the essence of her connection with audiences and the raw energy of her stage presence.
Every step of this process was guided by a focus on versatility, ensuring the imagery would seamlessly translate across posters, merchandise, social media, and album releases. The final visuals tell a cohesive story: one that celebrates Guinevere's powerful femininity, the timeless spirit of her lyrics, and the deep connection she forges through her music.
This project was more than a branding exercise; it was an exploration of the symbiosis between artist and audience, the individual and the collective, the past and the present. The resulting imagery not only positions Guinevere Goodwin within a storied musical tradition but also establishes her as a singular, evolving artist ready to define her future.
Embodying a showcase of Ozark talent, Guinevere Goodwin was the house band for the First Annual Ozark Jubilee fundraiser. This event honors a legacy of country music by reprising the original format of "Ozark Jubilee" which aired in the 1950s to millions of households. We honored the humble roots of both Goodwin and the area with a simple graphic style, while referencing poster designs from legendary artists of the 50s-70s.
